my tank on my hannable empteys it self
i have just built a flair hannabl and just come to run the new engine in and as i fueled her up. the tank emptyed it self through the exuast has any body got any advise as i dont want to change the way the exaust is under slung because the aleminum cowel is cut out at the bottom to make room for the pipe this is how the cowel came and a different position would not look to scale this is one of the reasons i picked this model as i thought it looked good

Matt;
You have the fuel lines mixed up.
Normally; you pump fuel in the main line, it then fills the fuel tank until it reaches the back pressure line from the muffler (silencer) then it pours out through the muffler.
Currently; you are pumping fuel in the Back Pressure Line (top of tank) and the fuel is immediately being pushed out of the intake line. [:@]
Figure out where the switch was made and correct it.
Cheers!

First things first, What have you done to set up the fuel Tank? []
What you SHOULD have done is;
Open up the tank, and remove the pieces.
This usually consists of, a stopper, 2 pieces of brass tubing, a piece of fuel tubing and a Clunk.
The instructions for assembling it are either in the tank or on the package.
You have to fit the brass tubing through the holes in the stopper, attach the fuel tubing to the port brass tube.
Next measure the fuel tubing so that it will be 1 cm short of the end of the fuel tank (when installed) now attach the clunk to the tubing. The clunk should move freely at the end of the tank. (Trim the fuel line until it does)
The second brass tube is your back pressure line, gently bend it up to the top of the tank (don't kink it)
Confirm that this is your current set up.

Hi Mattzoom,
I think your going to need to remove your fuel tank and make sure that tubing is installed correctly. For the fuel to siphon out, the vent tube has to be too low.
Neat plane though! Good luck,
Doug
