Default Brushless motor problems

Help, I recently purchased a TowerPro 2408-21 Brushless Motor and 18A ESC. I have tried to use 9x4.7 and 8 x 6 prop on my Foamy Extra (13oz). My problem is that everytime I give it throttle it picks up speed to about half throttle and then I get no more after half to full throttle. I am using an Electrifly 11.1 v li-po battery. If anyone can help or have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.[]

Check your ESC. Sounds like you are pulling more amps than the ESC can handle so the ESC is cutting out until the amps drop, then cutting in again.

What prop is recommended for that motor? What do your instructions say?

What is the max amp capability of your battery pack?

Check the programming procedures on your ESC. Also check the EPA/ATV on the throttle channel, if it is a computer radio. Make sure it is at 100%

Take your watt-meter and check your full load amp draw.

Make sure it doesnt excede your ESC or motor ratings.
If amp draw is too high
reduce prop size by dia. or pitch or both.

Also possible ESC could be bad, I had a CC25 doing
similar things and sent it in & they replaced it.
Try to sub in another one to test.
