Someone will tell you to test it by spraying a test piece and pouring 15% nitro fuel on it. You can only be sure if you test with the exhaust from a engine. Make a test piece, and next time you go flying, put the piece behind the exhaust, while your engine is running, set it in the sun and at days end, take it home with you and see if it softens. I think that is the only way. Then let us know. If we all did it this way and posted the results, we would not have to waste a can of whatever to find out.

A few years back I used the clear on a Senior Falcon and I would say that it is fuel " resistant " but not fuel proof. It worked fine for awhile but then after about a year the clear started to peel and discolor. It sort of turned a bit yellow.

About that time I got rid of it and the new owner crashed it so I don't know how far or how bad it would have gotten.

Hope this is of some help. ENJOY !!! RED

The Rustoleum Clear coat gloss enamel is not very fuel proof... the colored enamels were fairly good though I'd wait a couple of weeks before subjecting them to fuel.
