Not much to say. They're reliable, easy to tune and run great.

I bought one second hand that came complete with a P51 Mustang attached to it.

It was 5 years old when I bought it and it's been working flawlessly for 4 years now.

Check the valve clearances once a year and you are good to go.

They just don't get any better!

I have several and am always keeping an eye out for more. In fact my older .70's run so well that I have no reason to buy the newer .70 II's
I love 'em. Idle great, run excellent and easy to adjust, it just doesnt get easier.

OS 70 4 strokes are very reliable and dependable. If you are going to buy it, I would spend a few extra dollars and get a Saito. My Saito 80 GK, 72 and 82 are extremely reliable and dependable. Once broken in, they rarely require more than 1 or 2 clicks on the high speed needle to compensate for weather changes.

The early Ultimates had a few problems from what I've read here at RCU. Tower quit selling them for a while. I just checked and the Ultimate is listed as in stock at Tower. My 70 Surpass is a good running engine. If I needed another .70, I'd give the Ultimate a try. The built in pump is a nice feature.
