Default Where's Airfield Models?

Anyone know what happened to Airfield Models? I thought it was a really well done site with a lot of good info. When I try to go to the site I get a server not found error. I hope it's just technical difficulties, it would be a shame to lose this resource.

Not A clue I noticed the site http://www.airfieldmodels.com went down a week or so ago. At or around the same time I recall they had some real bad weather in the area, hope the two are not related.
Paul's site in my opinion was one of the best sources for rc modeling info on the web. Lots of good advice and insight, from an experinced model builder, a great site for beginer and expert alike.
Hope all is well!!!!

That's how I feel about it too. It's the first I heard of the bad weather... I hope all is well with Paul. Let's hope it's just a server problem.

Most of the articles (at least from 2006) are still available. Go here: http://www.archive.org/web/web.php and type in www.airfieldmodels.com. You should get a list detailing the internet archive record for the site. Choose the latest one, which I believe is May of 2006. It's better than nothing...

Airfield Models disappeared with my webhost. I wasn't notified and don't know what happened, but I've secured new hosting. It will be a few days before the site is back online but I'm actively working on it.

Thanks,

- Paul

Thanks Paul,

I just visited it for the first time about a week ago. I saved it to my favorites because I was so impressed. The next evening it was gone. It was one of the best and informative sites I have seen. GOOD JOB!!!

Did you lose any of your content? I liked going there to read up on stuff every once in a while also.

Well ain't that a bear!!! There is a lesson to be learned in this somewhere. I don't know what, but there must be one.

Glad you are getting it back online. I echo the sentiments here, your website was golden. A real work of a passionate modeler.

Nothing is lost from the site as far as content goes but it will take me a while to get everything working again. For example, my new host doesn't support any type of site search so I'll have to find a script and do that all over again and then add it to all 600 pages.

The site was seriously broken due to the move to the new server and me trying to take a short-cut to fixing the site which broke every single page (over 700 pages now). I just finished a major overhaul and *think* everything should be working properly. But I'm sure I'm wrong so I will fix any problems I find or are brought to my attention asap.

Thanks,

- Paul
