Smoke Pumps
I am looking at maybe smoking my first plane, but I need to know more.......
Looking at the Sullivan Skywriter, and the TME simple smoke. Do I have to have another rx battery to power the pump? or can I use one 6v pack to run all servos/pump?
Can anyone recommend one over the other for a 60 sized plane?
Thanks.

Of course, what was I thinking. If he's from Lawton, he MUST know you. You have to be sharing the same computer

BTW, when I was at the TME booth in Toledo I was looking at his smoke pumps. They look incredibly similar to the windshield washer pumps from JC Whitney!!

RE: Smoke Pumps
Thanks for the info. And I haven't seen Ken in forever because they have shut down our stinkin' field!! At least I can still see his dog on RCU; LOL!
Anyway, does the sullivan pump require you to use a second rx pack?

Diavolo,
Yes, you should use a seperate battery pack to power the smoke pump.
BTW, I have been meaning to call you but have been swamped. I talked to the contractors working at the field and they say they have to be off site NLT May 11th, so we should be able to fly again after that.

RE: Smoke Pumps
When I was talking to the contractor he said their were some found in the field west of the runway, but they were all training rounds. They also said there is "something" under the runway too, but DPW told them to not tear up the runway to get them. Like I said, that field has been in use for 35 years and nobody has blown up yet!!!!
