Default g-26 air filtering

I just finished up my gp giant super chipmunk. The carb extends slightly outside the cowl (G-26 engine) do you think it wise to use an air filter or maybe a velocity stack? Our field is grass with minimum dusty stuff. If so ,what filter do you recommend? This is my first gasser so I want everything to be clean as possible. Maiden voyage this weekend----Wish me luck!

Thankyou kindly
