Default Covering Material - Ultracote on a 1/2A plane?

Been digging up threads regarding lighter covering materials. I'd read that Microlite is not too glow fuel friendly. Ultracote has a heavier duty shrink that can cause warping of wings on these lighter models. Kinda pondering Monocote for covering a Herr Pitts Bipe Special since I thought it was lighter but saw some charts and numbers that indicated otherwise. I've used Ultracote on a few planes and I like it. Imagine this plane will take roughly a yard and a half of material to cover so weight doesn't seem too critical.

The spec AUW is 27oz, but since I am running a .15LA vs the suggested.074 engine I'll be a little over spec but have a little more power.

Would Ultracote be overkill for this plane?

Would like to cover using an adhesive backed film that also has a complimentary paint product line for painting a few items.

I just covered a Linear Shrike 1/2A sized with purple see through ultracoat film sure looks snazzy!! flighs like a bullet. A guy in our club who if real big into 1/2A and S.A.M type model aircraft, ultracoat covering is all he uses and wins compititions all over the USA.I would not hesatate to use ultracoat on it. The colored see through film looks fantastic and is the lightest that ultracoat makes.

I am a lover of U-Cote

You may note that both of these planes have trophies associated with them.

Have you considered Ultracoat 'Lite', or Sig's Aerokote Light?

UC lite is in transaparent and I want to cover with opaque. Have not checked out Sig's Aerokote lite yet. Will do. Thanks.
