Default Flying Area - Size Needed

Hi!

I havent flown before, and there are no club/s instructors nearby. I am thinking of buying myself an electric slowstick or something to learn on. I have flown a bit on simulators (mainly FMS). Right behind my house is a smallish park - do you think that this would be large enough to use something like a slowstick in?

Also, do you think a slowstick is a good first plane to learn on?

Many thanks,

Andrew

By the way - the large shed in the middle of the top picture is my shop.

First:
It it is a public park, you need to get permission from the controlling body to fly there.
Second:
You need to be sure you aren't flying over people or buildings/property.

Both of these actions will keep you in good relations with your neighbors. Ask, then act.

Thanks for the response. Electric RC flyers are allowed there, and I'll ensure to stay over the park.

Thanks alot!
