The bashing of a particular surface against another surface while the airplane is not flying.

In other words, like when I smashed the elevator of my airplane against the door frame and stripped a servo

Unfortunately I think it's viral and shows up every now and again to every RC modeler.

"Hanger Rash"In a full size hanger ,the planes would sometimes make contact with each other,or a tool box ,or a hanger door .(did that one myself on a T-28 )due mostly to confined space ,and protrusions sticking out .This contact would cause damage --dents -puncture,s scrapes or RASH --Bikers call it "road Rash" ..Modelers adopted the phrase ..Models are sometimes stacked on top of each other ,and a hole is caused ,or a flying surface is broken --etc Its a catch all phrase for minor damage done to a plane Happy Flying Joann

After a few good bouts with "hanger rash" most airplanes seem to fly much closer to the edge. Much more capable of aerobatics and what not.

After enough hanger rash I can fly closer to the ground. They do have a weight problem with more and more rashes.

I had a table that was pulled up against the cieling with rope. The bracket for the rope holding one corner broke. The table came down and crushed two airplanes and a third had some serious wing damage.
