Default Pusher and 3 point UC, good idea?:S

I've got loads of funflys and over powered stuff and handlaunch, but i miss having a plane that flys like a plane and lands like a plane, i had a play with a Learjet ARTF a while back and it was good.
SO, i have a spare Magnum wing which can accept retracts, all be it 5lbs rated ones, i want to build a hawk type body and to keep it looking jet make it a pusher, is this a bad idea with a pusher? am i gonna have to make the mains so long it looks stupid and the grass patch just bends them?
To keep under the 5lbs limit on the retracts i was thinking 25 with a 9x6 prop
Any ideas and suggestions welcome
Thanks
