Europe and the surrounding area does not use 72mhz. Fuel is expensive and noise is restricted heavily.

My response is base on VERY OLD information.

I was stationed in Ankara, Turkey 1974-1975. This is when I first started getting interested in RC flying. I had one of the original Heathkit 5-channel radios. It was on the 72MHz range and I used it in Turkey. Most of the US personal used 72MHz and the Turkish Nationals used, I think, 27MHz. Note though, we had an understanding with the local Turkish officials, we flew at a Civilian/Military airfield -- they informally allowed us to use the radios. BTW, I had the same arrangement when stationed in Japan from 1977-1979.

I'm sure you will find that 72MHz is not the normal range -- you need to be certain of the legalities and potential interferences. If you use radios with TX modules it should not be a problem to get one in the range you need.
