Default Duracell 2650 Mah RX Battery packs???

Hi guys.

I was charging some Duracell NiMh batteries for my camera the other day and and noticed the high maH rating on them, 2650 per cell.

Naturally I thought these would be great for a RX pack for my planes so I found some new ones cheap on eBay.
What I would like to do is make a 6volt pack from these, and charge them with my Swallow Advance charger.

Would these batteries be ok for a RX pack in a .46 size aircraft?

I checked the Duracell website, but they didn't really have much info on the AA style batteries I have.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

As far as I'm concerned it shouldn't be any problem. I've used standard Ni-MH AA's that are rated anywhere from 2200-2500 mAH to create replacement packs for my Tx and some for my Rx Packs. Should be no different than buying a pack from a hobby shop. Just charge the same way you would any normal pack based on the mAH rating. So your new 2650 mAH pack should be charged at (.10C), so 265 mAH overnight. You could quick charge up to (IMO) 1.5 Amps, some will say higher but that just taxes the batteries harder.

Sometimes it's just nice to have some dialogue with folks.
