Default Heavy oil output from evolution 52

When I clean my plane at the end of the day I have noticed that the residue on the aircraft is a very heavy and dark oil. I seem to remember from my other engine that the residue was clearer in nature. I have an evolution 52 that runs reliably and aside from going through a few glo plugs has never been a problem (I bought it new) I am running 15% fuel through it. Thanks for any insight. Jim

Sounds like it is a little rich.

if it is black it means you have metal to metal rubbing somewhere usually muffler/exhaist port, check all screws to see if any are loose including head and backplate.oil has a tendency to thicken up in cooler weather.

Thanks guys, I checked after flying yesterday and there were actually a few loose screws so maybe having tightened those will help. i will also play with the mixture some if I get back out today. Thanks again. Jim
