Here's my favorite smoke oil:

As far as colors go, I don't know of anyone that has had much success using a muffler-type system.

You can try a mixture of Kerosene and Automatic Transmission Fluid.

that looks like a rich engine.... Try some straight liquid paraffin if you want some real smoke!!!

And leaves no mess like that stuff does!!

at a restaurant supply store, I had Astrohog get it for me, the stuff is like $7 per gallon, and leaves no residue on the plane, and has awesome white puffy smoke!

John,

Isn't that the oil lamp stuff you (or maybe it was someone else) showed a pic of in one of the other "smoke oil" threads?

If so, you can get it at any Craft stores. I have a bottle that I'm going to test along with Super Dri.

I already tried PowerMaster smoke oil. Although I didn't do any adjustments, it did not impress me. Plus, it STUNK! Super Dri is odorless.

I plan to try Minn's stuff too.

Default what oil to use for smoke??

http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...e&pagenumber=4

I use 99% pure liquid paraffin that I get from the local restaurant supply store (it is used in the floating restaurant candles). Cost is a miserly $7.00 a gallon! It is totally clear and it burns real clean and dry!!

Go to a craft store and get Lamp Oil. Don't worry about it saying, "smokeless". If you read further, it says don't get it too hot or it will smoke.
