Default How to Pin a CA hinge

Im looking to pin my Hinges here but im not liking what i have done so far with Tooth picks and T-pins. Just wondering what are some methods you guys use and if you could show some pictures that would be more than helful

Never pinned CA hinges, even in 35% airplanes. It's not necessary if you glue hinge in correctly.

Agreed

CA hinges really don't need pinning.

But if you can't bring yourself to trust 'em without doing something extra, do what the flat hinge (Dubro type) designers did almost right away. Drill some holes.

The first plastic hinges were just two flats held together with a pin, like a door hinge. And it turned out that the plastic they used and the glues lots of modelers were using would let go of each other over time. Which is basically why sticking toothpicks and pins through the wing caught on. So the mfg's changed the hinge materials and put holes in the flats. The holes would fill with glue on insertion. That excess glue would then grab the balsa on either side of the slot and provide virtual rivets that didn't care what kind of plastic the hinge was made of.

I did follow That write up prior to installing hinges i just want to make sure i get it right this time.
