Aussie looking for a Hobby Shop in Los Angeles
Hi can anyone tell me of a good hobby shop in Los Angeles somewhere near Anaheim if possible. I will be traveling to the USA from Australia on holiday at the end of the year for a few months and driving around the country a bit .
I was after a hobby shop to get some kind of plane and one of those flycams to take some footage out in some of the places i will be traveling.
i will be in Anaheim for three days driving around so i can travel a little way to one.
So if anyone can recommend one that would be great
Thank you from the land of OZ

Try yahoo yellow pages and use this zip code: 92806
There is a Hobby People on Katella, its not necessarily the best store, but its the largest chain around here.

I recently spent 2 weeks in Orange Calif. Cars is the big ticket and about all you can find for planes are electrics as there is such a limited place to fly. There is a place called Ulitmate Hobbies on Katela in Anahiem that was the biggest of the bunch and had a huge selection of cars and electric park flyers. Have a great vacation in CA and Good Luck, Dave

I'd just look at a map and do a google search for hobby shops in the various LA area cities. I'm a few hours north of that area but I go there from time to time. The Hobby People in Fountain Valley is pretty nice. I've also been to a shop called Mod-L-Mania in Long Beach and bought a used Ultra-sport, the person who ran the place seemed like a pretty good guy.
Will you be sticking to the Los Angeles area or will you be going other places while in the US?

Hi i will be traveling down to San Diego ,tucson, El Paso, Dallas New Orleans,Miami Then to Bogata Colombia Then back to Miami, Washington DC Train to New York fly Tronto, Vancouver San Fransico,
Then Drive Through death Valley, Las Vagas to The Grand Canyon and back to LA.
I was Hoping to buy a plane and all i need at LA to get it ready for the drive from San Diego.
I have been searching on the net and could not find much at LA but have found HOBBY CENTRAL at San Diego.
But there is nothing like local knowledge!
I was Planing to fly after we left San diego to get some airborne footage.
