Who has the best heat shrink for the money, I get tired of junk that won't shrink down worth anything?????????

I get mine at the local electronics store. It comes in four foot lengths, and in diameters from 1/16 inch to 1.5 inches.

Radio shack, or a home builders supply store,(Home Depot, Lowes) will have what you need. I have found good quality shrink tubing on Ebay as well. Just get the tubing that says 2:1 ot 3:1 ratio.

I've been getting mine at the local Harbor Freight store , it seems to work alright i have seen better but not for the price and it comes in 4 foot lengths and about 5 different sizes.

a good rule of thumb is heat shrink will shrink to 1/2 its orginial diameter.....thats what I use in full scale avionics work

Hi,

that 2:1 and 3:1 , is that how much it will shrink. what I am asking is the 3:1 going to shrink down to 1/3 the starting size, will it get just 1/3 smaller????????
I can buy it most anywhere, but I have had some that is better than others and was wondering about name brand or place to get the good stuff, etc?????
