wankel 49-pi
Hey folks
I got a 49-pi (not the second version) and noticed that the muffler does not have a pressure outlet and where does the other vent on the crankcase be postioned at? Any suggestions to help me with this first time rotary engine would be appreciated greatly.

RE: wankel 49-pi
You can install a tap into the muffler for tank pressure, and the vent goes down. OS makes a special plug for this engine and you will not get good results without it.

RE: wankel 49-pi
I believe that OS discontinued the special plug for the Wankel. I think that the 4 stroke plug is the replacement. And as I recall, that engine does not need a pressure tap. I have seen several more posts on this engine. Don't take my word for gospel though, I have a Wankel, but have not built anything for it yet.
