Default Tower Hobbies 15% airplane fuel ?

No luck with the search function.

Does anyone know what oil ratio and
percentage, Tower uses in their 15%
airplane fuel ?

This will be for a Saito 82 (New)

Thanks,

Bob

Why Tower??? You can find fuel at your LHS for A lot less money. I run Power Master 15% with 18% blended oil in everything from 1/2A to the YS 1.40. Most manufactures say to use A four stroke 20/20 blend. I can't recall who makes the fuel for Tower, I think it's cool power but someone will correct me. If so then I think it's A 17%synthetic oil?? I have two of the Saito 100s to break in and run this weekend, like all my stuff they will get the Power Master 15% and love it. When in doubt read your engines instructions and go with what they say to use.

As Grey Beard said Tower too expensive. I use 10% nitro and 18 -20 synthetic, caster blend. use same fuel for 2 cycles also no problems have for many years.

I would do A search for the different fuel manufactures and find out if they have someone in your area that is distrubiting there fuel. Even if you had to ship 6 or 8 gallon cases it would be so much cheaper then going through Tower.
I have new to the hobby students buy through Tower because it's one stop shopping but there are cheaper and or better places to get your stuff. A web page for Power Master is www.powermasterfuels.com
I just got that from A RC Report Magazine sitting here in front of me. Do A search, it's worth the time. I used to drive almost two hours to get to A hobby shop, I would stock pile everything I needed then A two hour trip home. Some clubs sell fuel too. I would buy A case or split one with another pilot for the big savings.
Good luck!!

Tower fuel meets OS requirements for oil content which is at least 18%. Most fuels that are pink have a blend of 80% synthetic and 20% castor, but thats no rule, just an observation. Tower fuel is cheaper than my LHS and i usually dont have enough cas to buy the several required cases to get better prices. Get towers fuel in quarts to avoid the hazardous shipping fee.

They aren't the only makers that don't state the oil content and Tower is only the distributor, not the maker. Hyflyer just mentioned Omega, another very good fuel. Pull up there web site and see where you can find that in your area, try Byron fuels too. When I lived way out in the country I always had A list of needed items and when my wife and I would make the trip to one of the big citys we went to the different shops just to stock up. If you hit A Hobby People up on A three day weekend they have A great fuel sale, 15 bucks A gallon for 15% PM. If by any chance you go to A good Pattern or IMAC, maybe an IMAA show there you should be able to find some great deals on fuel and parts, batteries and props.
Give the search A try and see what is close to you.

I heard that glow fuel is about to sky rocket in price, it's something about China redusing or stopping the manufacture of the product during the Olympics? I guess it makes a lot of pollution to make.[:@] My LHS Dealer told me about it... get fuel while it is cheap.

I just got an add from Hobby People yesterday, August29 through Sep. 4th sale. Power Master 15% for 16 bucks, that's A buck more then the sales in the past, the PM 20/20 YS four stroke fuel is 23 bucks, that's three bucks more then it has been. At last the closing of the Nitro Plant in China for the Os is starting to show up finally.
Time to stock up again.

GA, I think all they need from you is A pulse, that's all I have going for me. www.hobbypeople.net Ask them to start sending you there sales flyer, sort of like tower talk, once you get it you will always get it!!! With the problems you have getting glow fuel I would phone them and ask what the shipping is on it and/or where there is A store close to you. If you are going to the bigger pattern events there are usually venders there that have some really great deals. At our biggest IMAA event in Calif. I would make A list and pick up all my batteries, props, nuts, bolts screws, onandonandon once A year, huge savings on everything in modeling all in one spot.
