Default Polikarpov I-16

Would anybody know if somebody makes an ARF, Kit, or has a set of plans for the Soviet Fighter, Polikarpov I-16. Any info would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

I believe that there was a 1/12 scale kit for a 15. It was aimed at the R/C combat market.

It was a Czeslovakia manufacturer I think, PM me if you are interested in something that small and I will try to dig up a link for you.

Did you find the plans you were looking for. I have just been through the plan search side of an I-16 build. If not have you started on your build?

This is a very old post without any reply. I did a search for the 16 myself and found almost nothing. There is/was a fellow in the AMA magazine a year or so ago that was doing a follow along scratch build of one. It was giant scale and I don't think he sold the plans or published them. There is also a fellow named Jim Collin from the bay area in Calif. that scratch built one and powered it with electric for the IMAA Rally of the Giants held at Castle Air Base in 2004. That was the only show I saw him fly it at. He may have his plans for it?? Maybe someone here knows how to reach him. Mr. Collin is an outstanding designer/builder!!

No, unfortunately, I did not find anything. Although, I did get a VQ Mig-3 ARF. Its a Russian Red Star, and it looks awesome, I'm not going to complain. I'd take any red star but, the I-16 just looked so unique & cool. The Mig is pretty sweet too.

You can get the plans for the MIG 3 in 110 inch. I was going to build it but the cost for the build is over my head.
