I usually just bend them gently with my fingers so as not to crimp them. Sometimes I run a wire, something about the thickness of a throttle cable, through it prior to bending.

I use weed wacker line inside the brass tube to help keep it from kinking. Spray a little wd-40 on it first.

Spend the $10, well worth it. Works Great on Brass, but sometimes aluminum will split.

K&S makes a great set of springs that fit over the tubing prior to bending. It provides a clean bend with no crimping. My set will bend 1/16, 3/32, 1/8, 5/32, and 3/16 O.D. tubing.

I use the back side of a drill bit that just fits in the tube, bend a little, then move the bit out, and bend a little, and move the bit out...etc etc..
that way I am not waiting for water to freeze or soften the brass by heating it and my work table is a big enough mess with out throwing sand on it.. lol

The K&S Spring Bender works great. If you aren't placing a Tower order soon, they are available at Ace Hardware.
