Default JR XP8103 Radio

I have a JR XP8103 radio and would like to use the timer and snap-roll function at the same time. I can get one or the other to work by themselves, but not both at the same time. Is there a way to get both to work at the same time? Thanks in advanced for your help

Default RE: JR XP8103 Radio

First of all I have an 8103 and I'm sure it's one or the other but not both. Secondly 20 years ago I bought a timer from Radio Shack and CA'd a clothes pin on the back. It clips onto my antenna, is much easier to see and hear than the radio timer. I believe that I replaced it once and bought maybe 3 watch type batteries over the years. It is loud enough that when it goes off whoever is waiting in the pits to fly next starts to get ready as soon as they hear it.

I have forgotten it once or twice over the years and tried the radio timer. It is a PITA compared to the seperate timer.

P.S. If you look closely at my avitar you'll see it on my radio
