Default What sealant etc. for loose muffler?

The muffler on my Saito 100 consistently vibrates loose from the elbow.

1. I'd like suggestions about products that might be applied to the threads to keep the muffler from shaking off.

2. I've seen some products on the web that might be helpful but am not sure of the differrences among them or their usefulness in this application. Can you comment on any of the following for this application:

LOCTITE 598 Black High Performance RTV Silicone Gasket Maker (-75 to +625 degrees F) [there are Copper and Blue versions of this too],

LOCTITE Flange Sealant 518 Gasket Eliminator [seals to 300 degrees F],

LOCTITE Thread Sealant [continuous to 400 degrees F].

Tucked away in some drawer I have a tube of Permatex high-temp thread sealant, not sure of part number or why I bought it

Thanks.

THe BLUE LocTite Tread sealer is what I've always used.
Wicked.
Many people are frightened off the product because when unscrewed, the thread can appear to be stripped... when in fact the they're just full of dried LT.
Picks away easily and then it's business as usual.
Never had it shake loose.

David - Loctite thread lock is a blue liquid (the permanent version is a red liquid), commonly used on screws and bolts in mechanical applications. is that what you used? The blue thread lock is a different product than the RTV blue silicone product mentioned in my email.

Yeap, the Blue liquid.
Thread Lock. Not sealant, gasket goo-straight forward thread lock.

If your threads/joint is very loose, you could well need a couple of rounds with the teflon tape.
