Typing in all caps is considered shouting.

Once the sleeve is out the rod should slide back and forth a few mm. Sometimes its stuck but with the crankshaft at TDC it should slide enough to pop off the crank pin. You might have to shoot some WD40 up from the bottom.

I do not know abouit the 50SX but on some OS engines this is not so. Even with the sleeve out the rod/piston assembly will not slide back far enough on the crank pin for removal. If there is a hole in the back of the case this engine is of that type.

Is there a hole in the back of the case?

The con-rod will come off of the crank shaft...It had a bear of a time getting mine off, but it finally did pop off. Make sure that the con-rod is sliding on the wrist pin toward the back of the piston. Mine wasn't doing this at first and needed some extra lubrication. If the con-rod doesn't slide to the back of the piston, it will never come off of the crank shaft. Also, for some reason, it assembles a lot easier than it disassembles!!

Good Luck

That was not the hole I meant actualy, but JCB describes the procedure once the backplate is removed.
