Ha thanks guys!
Family guy... great idea
And if I could get a full skeletor in with that pose holding the sticks I would do it.
Im called a nerd anyway for messing with model airplanes so whats a little more "nerd" weight on my shoulders.
Trying to think what other 80's toys I can stick in there.
Thundercats.... Mumra would be a good one. He had red light up eyes maybe you could put some of those volt watch led's in his head so you know your low on juice when hes feelin the rage of low batteries.

Nothing at all wrong with it. I use all kinds of toy figures for pilots. I've had at one time or another Snoopy, Buzz Lightyear (twice), Scooby Doo, Harry Potter, FredBird (St Louis Cardinals mascot), Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wiley Coyote, Donkey (from Shrek), and Shrek. I also have a bin full of other figures I can use. I've always got my open for others. Yard sales are great places to find them cheap. But whenever I'm in Wal-mart or any other store I'll take a wander through the toy section to see what's there. Keep an eye out for the fast food resturants kiddy meals because a lot of times they'll have great little figures to use. And if you sweet talk the person behind the counter you can usually get one for free. Heck, about 6 months ago I got about 20 Snoopy figures to use from Burger King.

The 80's? Brings back memories of my mullet (extra long in back) and my Camaro.
Put whatever pilot you think is cool.
I'm personally looking for a chimp or orangutan for my Skybolt. All of the ones I have found so far are solid plastic and pretty heavy. The next time we make a trip to the zoo, I'm going to take a look in the gift shop there. Maybe they'll have a hollow rubber one.
I also tried to get a Colonel Klink action figure on eBay until I saw how much they wee selling for.

Believe me I wouldnt do it if there weren't a billion around and I ordered a couple not so perfect ones off ebay. So I dont feel as bad. GI joes, transformers, I dont think I could do it. But Im thinking a new R2-D2 trimmed to size would be a good pilot too.
