Default Saito Lifter Noise for 150

I've got a Saito 150 with about 3 years excellent use. However it has developed some lifter? noise. I've checked the clearance on the valves and they are ok. Had originally thought the noise when the engine was turned over was the valve gap needed to be reset. Still the engine makes a clicking noise when it rotates through the full four cycle. I've got a new 150 that is quiet for the same operation. Any suggestions from the saito crowd would be appreciated.

Lifter noise is normal in this kind of engine, some are more notorious than others, but I would suggest checking the valve springs and the retainers of the springs also check that the pushrod is correctly inserted into the gap regulator screw, while you are checking those things see if there is enough lubricant in the area.
