If the plastic is vacuum formed styrene, don't use polyester. You'll melt it. You could probably use epoxy on it, although in either case, I'm not sure how well it would stick. If you want a fiberglass belly pan, I would suggest that you make a mold from the plastic part, then layup your belly pan from that. I almost always do this for any plastic parts that come with a kit. I find it easier to work with all fiberglass pieces.
