Centering servos....
Quick question,
I am in the process of installing all flight control surface servos on my Skymaster F-16.
I have not yet purchased the radio I intend to use with this aircraft. Is it acceptable to center (and posibly set throws) With my current radio and when my new radio is aquired plug and go? Would anyone recommend this method?
Thanks, Peter

RE: Centering servos....
Yes, it will get you close to center. I found out by experience that different brands of radios actually will give your servos different amounts of travel. I switched from Futaba to Airtronics this summer and found that my servo travel was greater (like with the endpoints on each radio set to 100%). Because of things like this, there may be a very small difference, but nothing you can't fix with trim and settings in your radio.

RE: Centering servos....
I center the servos and make up my control rods when building for other people using my radio but don't bother with the throws. You have to set the throws in your new radio so why bother. Most the time there is A slight difference in the centering but A couple of beeps in sub trim takes care of the problem. There can be quite A bit of difference in the EPA or throw between radio brands and models.
