Default Standard nitro tank work for gas?

Hello I bought a twist 60 plane and it came of course with a gas tank for nitro fuel and I am wondering I am planning on making it into a gas plane it is branded new never had nitro through it etc. So I am wondering can I use this nitro fuel tank for gas oil mix fuel?

The tank itself will work fine. However, you have to ensure that the stopper is made for gas. If it's not you will have to replace it with a stopper made for gas. Also, you will have to replace the silicon fuel tubing with Tygon fuel tubing as the gas will dissolve the silicon tubing.

Depending on what tank you have, for example, Dubro, makes a stopper for gasoline so you do not need to buy a new tank, just the stopper and as Ken said, the fuel line for gasoline.

I've always used a glow tank with a gas stopper for my gas engines

I also liked these. They solder onto brass tubing: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXWH38&P=M

Good of you to show those Chuck, I just taught one of my old students how to solder those barbs on, they work great for both gas and glow. The bung is the only difference between a gas or glow tank. I bought one of the then new gas or glow bungs some years ago and I think someone made a mistake in packaging, it turned into a glob of gum with little floatsums in the tank. Not a good thing. Has anyone used the GAS line that is neopreen {spelling} the black stuff. I haven't found any of my LHS that carry it but I'm told it is way better then Tygon. I just hate relining my tanks every year with the Tygon, if it's a lot better I will order some.

I've used the black neoprene in my gas tank clunks

It doesn't last forever. Probably a good idea to replace it every spring
