I do not think that JR and Futaba have a compatable trainer cable. You need to keep everything the same. Good Luck, Dave

Perhaps the one that fits some Futaba uses the round plug and some later ones use a square one.

I don't understand when you say you tried it and it works but you don't know which cable to use? how could it work if you don't use right cable?

Even if you get the two to pass the stick information back and forth, the order of the pulses is not the same on all transmitter's audio section; i.e. on one the throttle might be the fourth pulse in the string and on another it might be the first pulse in the string. They would cause servo movement, just not from the same stick on each transmitter.

I know for a fact that the jr can act as a master with a futaba (round plug) as a slave as i have done this combo many times... never had a problem with it.

we used a futaba and a Hitec last summer, but had to buy the right cord and plug it in accordingly.

Just a thought if you have a Hitec to use.
