Default scale size issue

right im resizing and adapting a plan for a mustang, its going to turnout at 70 inch wingspan and 60 inch fuselage length from tail to spinner, would this be classed as a 1/5.5? or is it still in the 1/6 size as the topflight mustang is around 62 and thats 1/6 and there giant version is 84 inch i think at 1/5th, its really confusing me

Default RE: scale size issue

The Mustang 3 and 4 is quoted as 37 foot span and 32 ft 3 inch length in a book ( Great Aircraft of WW2 Handbook ) . So a sixth scale would be 74 inch span and 64.5 inch long.

A fifth scale would be 88.8 inch span and 77.4 long.

They might have changed the span of the full size but there is no mention in this book. It is more likely the models are not really scale!
