Question on Great Planes ElectriFly Triton Jr DC Computer Charger
I emailed Great Planes and they won't answer my question. Can I use a wall charger, such as the one for my 12V lead acid battery, as my power source?
Just wondering.

Check the amp output on your wall charger and you'll probably find the answer is 'no'. Your Triton charger is probably rated for 3-5 amps, maybe more. Most wall chargers put out milliamps, maybe 1 amp max.

Hi, that won't work. It does not have enough power.Around the house you have to use a 12 volt power supply with a 15 Amp. rating.Read your owners manuel, it tells you the power needed. Dan

Why I didn't think of that is beyond me. Okay, I am at work and don't have access to it. That's my story and sticking to it.

You can purchase power supplies that will work with the Tritan or you can make one if you're so inclined. [link=http://www.marcee.org/Articles/PCPowerSupply.htm]Here's [/link] a link on converting an old PC power supply into something you can use with the Tritan.
