Sure, as long as you clean them out first. A quick rinse with a little gasoline would be a good idea too.

It is a very dangerous thing to put gasoline in any container not marked as such; not because it will damage the container but because of the possible bad side effects if someone mistakes the real contents of that container. In some states it is against the law to put gasoline in any container not labeled as to contents.

This is true. The jug should be painted red with the word "GAS" or "GASOLINE" on it

Well, it is illegal in some areas and someone may make an issue of it? Some gasoline service station will refuse selling you gas to fill your plastic jug.

I would use a regular gas can at the station. I am wanting to use a glow jug cause I have one of the gas compatable PSP MFG Fuel Jug Caps.

I wouldn't..not because of fuel contamination....but because of the legal issues...Gas cans are cheap

I took a regular "RED" gas plastic container from the discount store and drilled the cap for my pump fittings. It works just like my glow fuel jug.

Keep in mind that the translucent glow fuel jug will let sunlight in which will degrade the gas faster than if it was stored in a red or all metal container. Though this is a slow process and you will probably be using the fuel fast enough for this to not be a problem.

No sun problems and the price is right!! I always try to buy products with the big cap on the cans so i can make up vents and drain and fill systems. I have even been known to paint them red a couple of times. Wish I could find them in two gallown though, seems it's either 1 or 5.

I also use a square metal gallon can for glow fuel on my flight box. I keep my glow fuel in the dark.

My glow fuel metal can is plain gray in color. I bought it at a surplus store.
