Any Suggestions?
Hello All-
Prepping to run a Saito .82 this weekend, going to charge field battery/glow battery/receiver battery this week, attempt to run the engine this weekend. The engine has been in storage for roughly 2 years, and has not had many flights on it (less than a full gallon of fuel through it).
Aside from running rich, do you guys have any suggestions for making this as easy as possible? What would be a good needle setting to shoot for? The prop is a 14x4 Ibelieve, I will not be taking the plane off of the ground, just a static engine run.
Thanks

During your run-up have a fuel tubing attached to the crankcase vent to channel oil residue away from your engine stand/airplane. The engine gets quite drippy/oily with oil otherwise.

RE: Any Suggestions?
Thanks guys, Think I'm going to go with the needle open to about 2 1/2 - 3 turns, get it to peak, back it down a few hundred rpms, and run it there on the high end. Where is the low end idle adjustment on this engine? Its not in front of me and I can't remember, been a while...
