Air retract system converted to hydraulic with ATF?
I saw a conversion "kit" on eBay a while back but didn't give it a second look.
Maybe not a bad idea since ATF doesn't compress and air does. Could get messy if springs a leak.
Anybody tried this?
Thanks in advance...Dave

Holeshot,
Keep in mind that petroleum based oils will dissolve petroleum based seals/packings. Keep the seals and oils separated by the base.
Petroleum seals/synthetic oil. Synthetic seals/petroleum oil.
O rings are available in several hardness compounds.
Are you considering a pressurized reservoir/accumulator to power your system, weight is going to add up really quickly.
