Default Formatting the Link in Messages

Hope this is the proper place for this Question...

Before the change in Forurm software you could link to another page by selecting the link option (if I remember correctly), pasting in the URL, and then give the link a name. The message would then show the name as underlined and allow you to click on it as you would any URL. I liked this option as it kept the ugly URLfrom being seen.

Does anyone know how to format the link in the new software? I realize I could use the "old" editor, but would prefer to use the default if possible.

Thanks!

-MA

With the new one, type the word or words you want to link, then highlight them, THEN hit the link button and paste in the URL

Next question:
How do I copy info from another comment into my comment and have it appear in a box?
Highlighting the text and using <cntrl>C and <cntrl>V just pastes the text like it's part of my message.
Thanks,

Thanks Mike!! So to link to your site, I'd highlight the words "your site" and then hit the link ... awesome! Note: don't forget to set the "target" tab on the link dialog to New Window or you will force the user to navigate away from RCU.

You need to put the copied text into "quotes" like below. Remove the " when you actuall type into the editor

["quote"]ORIGINAL: Original Poster's Name<original poster="" name=""></original>
COPIEDTEXT
["/quote"]

So the above would look like

ORIGINAL: Original Poster's Name<original poster="" name=""></original><original poster="" name=""></original>
COPIEDTEXT
