Default Kadet Senior wing struts?

Id like to put wing struts on my Kadet,, has anyone done this? If so,,,,please throw me some suggestions,,Im racking my brain (not that I have much left) Id like the struts to fold at the wing,,so I can transport them without removing them. I need them to be functional,,as I did dbl rail the frame for strength and have a 70 4sstroke on. Its a little heavier than the stock ARF,,,I just dont want to fatigue the wing mounting. She does fly well,,,I just dont want to bite the dust. Any PICS to help me out?

Thanks a zillion guys

Tazz,
I put struts on the Kadet LT-40. I used the same method as I used on my old H9 Cub.

Thats a great looking Kadet youve got ,,I have one too,,fun toy! Did you just screw the struts or put blind nuts into the mounting ends?

appreciate the comeback

The wing end is screwed into the spars that were hardened with super glue. The fuse end has hardwood blocks epoxied to the side and floor. I then drilled and tapped thru the bottom of the fuse and blocks for an 8-32 thread. Once they were threaded, I put a few drops of super glue in the holes to harden the thread.

The LT-40 I built for my retired dad. It left us a few weeks back. I chased it in my car for over a half hour until I lost sight of it.
It had to be a short between the battery and receiver. It was like someone hit the on/off switch and all the last inputs remained. It was at 1/2 throttle with a tad of up elevator.

I'm finishing another right now. No fancy paint this time. I'm using the stock decals.

Outch,,sorry to here about that.I had that happen to my Little Toni last year,,it was full throttle,,and I got a little to low behind some trees, it exploded big time, the sound was blood curdling,,a million pieces. I was thinking of making my Kadet 40 a tail dragger too. Was the tailwheel on yours steerable? How did you rig it?

Thanks again

The tail wheel is stearable. I cheated, added a micro servo and mixed it with rudder.

My new kadet is just about done. Just have to fuel proof the cowl paint and make wing struts.

Jees, sometimes the most obvious just escapes me. I routed a push rod to the rear of my Kadet Senior. Never even gave a thought about using a servo.I think Ill do that to my Kadet 40.. How did you hook the servo into the receiver,,Ive got all kind of mix variations on my Tx.. Did you use a Y-harness? Would you run me thru the hookups?

Many Thanks Again

I use a Spektrum DX7 radio with an AR7000 7 channel receiver. I just combined/mixed the rudder with the gear channel. The AR7000 also has an Aux channel that I could've used.
The rudder is plugged in the rudder channel and the tail wheel is plugged in the gear channel.
If you can mix with your radio, it'll be in your radio instruction manual.
