Default Anyone use the Finer Edge starter adapter?

I saw this on the web and thought it was a good idea.

It is an adapter that uses the Makita lipo battery packs. I already have 2 battery packs for my drill. At forty dollars it might be worth it if it is good quality. I'm tired of lugging around my whole flight box just for my starter.

A friend of mine uses one to start his gassers. He likes it. If you already have the batteries, I guess it is not a bad deal.

Yes I have...love it.....the downside is the cost of the batteries....so......I went to every tool rental place and asked if they had the batteries from a drill that was broken.....walked away with 2 batteries and a charger for nothing....After all when the tool place re-orders to replace the drill they get new batteries anyway...

Yes, i have the batteries already so i think it should be a good deal. I also think it might help my batteries because i don't use them hardly at all with the drill and using the starter would keep me charging them up.

Any experience with using the smaller (BL1815) Makita Lipo Battery vs the more powerful 1830, both have the same footprint....

If they have the same attachment and are at least 12volts it should work fine. I bought the FinerEdge product but have yet to spend the time to install it on my starter. I'm so disorganized!

OK............I ordered one of these a couple of days ago but cannot get ahold of the company. I just ordered on their website and paid through PayPal. Has anyone tried to contact these guys? I've decided to go with the Makita 1.5ah battery rather than the 3.0 because of cost. If I buy the compact Makita drill driver I get the drill driver, the charger and two of the "compact" 1.5ah batteries for $189.00. To buy just the 3.0ah and a charger it would cost $200. I figure I'll just take both batteries to the field but I'm told that they last quite a while and charge up in 15 min. Probably lighter on the starter too.
