Default 11.1 Lipo battery in TX

Hey guys what is the harm of running a 3 cell 11.1 volt lipo in a JR 10X Transmitter? Can i do it safely?

I have been running one in my JR DSX9 for over 9months with no problems. Their is also a thread on RCU about this same subject.
