Default Tank setup issue...What are my options??

Setting up a Saito 91 and i had to purchase a longer Saito Flex muffler for it, however it does not come with a pressure nipple on the exhaust

Do i have to tap one into it ?? The only place i would be able to install it would be on the elbow that attaches to the engine case.

Are there any other options to not run a pressure line??

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Joe

Yep, I just did that.

Will the tank build sufficient pressure or should i say the same amount of pressure without an actual canister muffler?

The flex muffler is just an elbow with a long flex tube.

Will this create a horrible sound also? Im abit away from running it and i cant find my test bench to bolt it to

Thanks

You should really tap the muffler, not the header. The muffler will have more pressure than the header will

Do you mean the actual canister Minnflyer?

There isnt one, The original muffler that came with the Engine is no good to me it doesnt fit in my setup so i purchased this one.

Will it not work??

What i did is tap a pressure fitting into the elbow you see.

Guess the only other option, if this doesn't work is a pump. I do think what you plan to do will work.

Use a three line tank. Two clunks in the tank, plus your vent. One clunked line to your carb. and the other one to your muffler tap. The vent line you will up plug when filling. You also need a one way valve into your pressure line from your muffler.Make sure to put it in right. You can blow into to it to make sure it goes towards the tank.I use fuel dots, they make fueling very easy. Just un-plug your vent and fuel through your fuel to carb line. I put a tee into this line also.which goes to a fuel dot. This method also give you pressure in your tank too. After flying let the pressure out of the tank through the vent line. Useing this method, you can put the tank any where you want to. It's like running a pump. I use this on all my planes.
