Default Matching ESC with motor size

I am new to E-Flight and is there a rule of thumb to go by as far as matching a ESC with motor size.? Also need an explaination of the motor specs.

Hi Zeker,
In order to match the motor size to ESC, you need to know the watt rating of the motor.
