What prop do you use?
I use APC 11x5 props for most of my .40 sized sport planes. I use an APC 12.25x3.75 on my Magic Extra. I liked APC props better than the others I've tried (Master Airscrew & Top Flite) I use 11x5 because it usually gives me the best combination of speed and torque on my sport planes.

I agree with the sizes varying... I was mostly looking for everyone's take on the wood vs. nylon debate...
Some people tell me that it takes more to break a nylon prop (master airscrew) than a wooden one (top flite)...
But then I hear others say they go with wooden ones because the nylons are so sharp and so tough that they would do more damage to a person than the wood ones...
I've been using the nylon Master Airscrews just because they do seem tougher, they're cheap (both of those qualities are nice if you've seen me do a few of my "landings"), and I figure if I get whacked by ANY prop (either wood or nylon)... Its gonna do some big ouch damage.

Just my opinions but;
Master Airscrew props are a bit more flexible but that translates to louder also so you have to check your field sound limits. If you are learning landings then this is a great prop as it won't necessarily snap on impact with the ground. We recommend our students use these once landing practice starts.
The APC's are a more solid prop and actually reduced one engine's sound output by 6 db (brought him under our sound limit vs the MA he was using). All of my current planes use APC, even my .15 combats, as I find they give me the excellent pull and/or speed I'm used to.
I bought some Bolly props to try. These are .5 inch longer than the APC counterparts, similar composite material and are brown in color. Something different to try; no experience as yet.
Wooden props look great on the scale jobs and I got some for a small scratch bipe I'm building. Problem is they'll break with tough grass
Try some different props, examine your needs and you'll be able to decide what works best for you.

APC makes the best. They make less noise and provide more power than the other props, but they cost a bit. Not ourtageous, and they can withstand a lot. APC has a larger prop selection than everyone else.
