Default Question: Radial knob on Transmitter

Hi Guys,

Thanks in advance for looking at this post. All feedback will be truly appreciated.

I have been looking at alot of the 2.4ghz systems. I am looking for a 6-7 channel system with a radial knob. I want to use the flap on this channel naturally.

I want this KNOB or correct term switch...

What 2.4ghz system has this besides the Hobby King stuff that ain't going to raid the kids education savings plan?

Futaba has knobs and levers and switches. Knobs are awkward sometimes. Its hard to get the flaps back up quickly during T-n-G's.

Futaba T7C utilizes a knob for flaps.

Yup, the 7C

Also worth noting is the Futaba 10C. This has knobs, but it also has sliders on the sides which can be easily accessed with out removing your fingers from the sticks.

I have an older jr 7 channel that has a knob and now have the Hitec Aurora with sliders on the side, the sliders are a lot easier in my mind to use for flaps then the knob. The knob would be great for multi engine planes where you want to tweak one of the engines.

I have flaps on a rotary knob.....I think next time I will use a 3 position switch instead UP, Takeoff, and landing....it's hard to consistanly get the flaps back to the same position using a knob

Futaba 9C and now the 10C. Three knobs and two sliders. As others have noted - the sliders are easier as you don't have to "let go" with one hand.

You can have flaps and spoilers on the same control.
