I have an OS .46LA that needs a home. I know, its kind of a pansy on power but I never have to fool with it and it runs every time. So far I have come up with three ideas. Four Star .40, Slow Poke Sport .40 (if I build light), or Tower Uproar .40. I dont want something 'underpowered' nor does it need to be a hotdog performer. Just something fun to fly. Let me know what you think.

I have a 4* 40 with a 46FX and it has an abundance of power, the 46LA should do just fine. I can't speak to the others.

I'm sure the 46LA would work fine in a Great Planes Super Sportster too. I flew my first with an OS 40 FP. Great running engine but quite low on power. (Putting a 52 four stroke on this one.)

I agree with both max42 and DBCherry....although I think it would be a little better suited to the Super Sportster......also, check out the Thunder Tiger Lazy Tiger P-51 ARF. I had an OS FP .40 on mine and it was great.....fun plane to fly and very nicely built.

(COUGH) Agree with *Crash*Johnson*(COUGH) SPA3D (COUGH) spadtothebone.com (COUGH)

In all seriousness, I'm having a blast with my PQHOR (precursor to the SPA3D). You said you did not need a hotdog performer, but if you did, you could have this for under $20 in materials. It would easily go straight up with your .46. Sorry to not talk about one of the planes you mentioned, but I'm having such a blast with this that I can't help it.

Default la46

I have la46 in the following planes
Sig kommander
2 sig kavaliers
ace 4 star
a trainer
All of these fly fine & I am at 7200 ft up from sea level
In the old days of long ago FOX was the only thing I would fly I am now sold on the LA46 for any 40 sized airplane.
