Default Flaps on a Great Plane Easy Sport 40

I am just getting into the hobby. I have the opportunity to purchase a Great Plane Easy Sport 40 that has ahd flaps installed. I am very curious about the experienced pilots veiw of this modification.

Thanks in advance!

For a first plane, the Easy Sport can be overpowered. Anything more than a 40 FP say..
As for the flaps, you don't have to use them.
Lock them in place until you get some flight experience.
This mod typically enhances the roll sensitivity, as it moves the active area of the aileron out. You don't want this as a beginner.
Use a radio with dual rates, and fly first with a 50% setting on the ailerons.
There are more suitable planes to learn with.

I've never seen a flap I didn't like.
