Default Prop size for Sig Astrohog

I was hoping to hear from some Astrohog owners as to what prop would make a nice flying bird out of this. I have an OS FP-60 in it right now. I have not flown it yet, just got it ready to go. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Default Hawg prop

Hey Frazzy,

I have a K&B 65 in mine and am swinging a 12-6 Master Airscrew, you could probably use the same prop with no problems. If that one doesn't work well, try an 11-7 MA.

After experimenting, I ended up flying mine with a Zinger 13x5, Saito .80. I know its a 4 stroke, but the Astro Hog is not a fast flying airplane so I chose to go for more low speed thrust by using a smaller pitch prop. This helped considerably with the vertical and slowed the plane for landing as it really likes to float. I tried a 12x7 for 1 flight. No good for the engine or plane. A 13x6 was my second choice.

Try a few different props and decide what you like the best.
