servo operates backwards

Ihave a SN Hobbies Cessna 206 (junk) that I replaced one of the ailiron servos. The new servo operates backwards (both alirons move the same). What is the problem?

Did you replace the servo with the original type and making the same connections?

or did you install the linkage on the wrong side of the servo center?

Same type servo, same connection linkage is correct.

Could be the servo company screwed up. (There are guys who use one Futaba and one JR on spilt elevators cause they run oposite of each other.) Can you trade the new servo with your rudder or throttle servo?

Hi ezbay35150
If you post a photo showing both servos someone can make a suggestion. Are both servos connected together thru a "Y" harness?

Swaped the servo with the rudder and reversed the rudder. All is fine now!
Thanks

Something is not right, then.

The aileron servos are symmetrically installed; hence, they should be connected in paralell (using a Y-connector) and rotating in the same direction respect to each servo case, so one aileron deflects up while the other deflects down.

The flap servos operate differently, so each rotates in the opposite direction respect to the other, deflecting both ailerons at once.

Does your wing have three connectors?

(Oops!.........Just saw your post after posting mine)[:o]

Any time you change brands of servos, you have a 50/50 chance of the one brand turning in the opposite direction of the other brand when given the same input.
