tail dragger conversion

[sm=bananahead.gif][sm=omg_smile.gif]Im currently converting a H9 Alpha Trainer. My ? is ,,,the engine is one of those Evolution trainers,,,do you think that motor has enough power to get the extra weight off the ground. It has a three blade prop,,,would a 2-blader give more power?
Thanx Guys-TAZZZZ

Extra weight with the tailwheel and alum. fixed gear.

If the engine had enough power before the conversion, it will still have enough power.
You just need to re-balance your plane.

RE: tail dragger conversion

Might be little to no weight change.

I just converted my Avistar from trike to conventional and actually lost weight. The change over consisted of removing the metal engine/nose wheel mount and installing a plastic/synthetic mount, removing the steering push rod and steering hardware. The main gear is Dubro and on the tail I used the Sullivan tail wheel bracket.

The plane is slightly more tail heavy with the set up but is still within range for the CG.
