IS THIS TYPE WHEEL AVAILABLE????

1 Attachment(s)
Perhaps I have not looked in the right places, but I cannot find wheels like the picture below. They were balloon style, no tread and had chrome plated plastic hubs. I need one 2 3/4" and two 3". Any ideas?[:-]

The picture is a bit grainy, but they look a bit like the Sullivan Skylite wheels.

DuBro. They still make them without the chrome, but you should easily be able to find NOS or good used ones.

Dubro still makes 'Baldies' in 21/2, 3 and up but it will be the gray plastic and not the chrome plate.

I have a nice set of what you are talking about on my Schneider with an extremely soft tire texture but have no idea where they came from and suspect you will not find them to often.

Also just happened into a georgous set of old Vecos with a beautiful cast alluminum wheel and perfect inflatable tires (baldies). Thats extrodinary to find any Vecos with still good usable rubber.

I may just have what you're looking for. I'll check my wheel box. I don't think the chrome will be perfect.

Be right back!:D

avaiojet, thanks for looking. I had sent you an RCU e-mail earlier. I think I would like to use the smooth tread type tires. Thanks again:):)
